As an OT (occupational therapist) I work with kids in helping to develop their fine motor skills day in and day out. Evaluating their grasp, visual skills, ability to replicate shapes etc.... So, it brings me so much joy when Aiden and I take out his easel and markers to see what he can do. He is starting to like letters so much that he will name random ones as he draws circles and scribbles on the easel. It also brings me joy to see that yes he can sustain his attention on a task which does not encompass trains, legos, or movement for more than two minutes.
As a mother and a Virgo it brings me just as much joy to see him love to clean up and erase all of his marks. He gives himself a big "YEAH" each time he erases. Just look at that determination and attention to detail on his face :)
And a well deserved drink of milk at the end... hey this is hard work!
